Interior Ministry warns Ghanaians over fake recruitment exercise

The Ministry of Interior has warned the general public to be wary of false announcements of recruitment into the country's security agencies.

There have been advertisements on some online portals that the Military and Police are recruiting. The Ministry however says "no Agency under the Ministry of the Interior would undertake a recruitment exercise without advertising in the dailies."

In a statement released on Sunday, June 25, the Ministry stated that "the General Public is therefore informed that no Agency under the Ministry of the Interior namely: The Ghana Police Service; The Ghana National Fire Service; The Ghana Immigration Service and The Ghana Prisons Service are recruiting personnel to fill various positions".

"Any such person or group of persons purporting to recruit into the Security Agencies should be reported to the nearest Police Station", the statement signed by Deputy Minister of Interior, Henry Quartey added.
