Trainee nurses to protest over allowance delays, posting issues
 The members of the Ghana Nurses and Midwives Trainee Association will hit the street tomorrow [Thursday, September 22] over delays in the release of their allowances. The protest is also to get the government to address their concerns as trainee nurses. An earlier decision to protest on Monday by the group was prevented by the police due to the Greater Accra regional tour of the president and the Milo marathon. The group is pushing for the government to pay them their allowances and also post all qualified nurses. Akazee Godwin Asabire, President of the association said they want their concerns to be addressed by the president since "it has a major impact on our training." He also ruled out political motives for the demonstration tomorrow. The nurses are expected to converge at the Kwame Nkrumah circle tomorrow morning where they will walk pass some principal streets in Accra and end up at the Hearts park.
